My Photography
Some sample galleries & images

I've had a lifelong love of art photography, but for most of my life it was as viewer, not maker. I had a few point-and-shoots, first with film, later digital, for taking travel and family shots. But I never got serious about making my own photos until 2010. That's when I acquired my first iPhone, a version 4.

These days I'd call myself a serious amateur in mobile photography.

All photos here were taken with some generation of iPhone (most recently an 11 Pro). Editing mostly on iPhone, though some images also saw iPad or iPhoto edits. My go-to editing app has been  Snapseed, with which I can tweak color, contrast, brightness, shadows, white balance, and so forth. Some have undergone much more extensive editing in a wide variety of iOS apps.

"Homage to Siskind": an ongoing series in tribute to my favorite photographer. Full gallery here:   Homage to Siskind

"Imaginary Ancestors": a series of digital collages. Mostly based on anonymous 19th Century portraits, which are then heavily manipulated and blended with my own imagery. Full gallery here: Imaginary Ancestors
